Tea Description |
Like the China’s famous Green Tea Pi Lo Chun, our Hong bi Luo (Black Snail) has tea leaves which are twisted into a lovely and unusual snail shape. The same shape and cultivar but made into Black Tea process. The tea infuses to a gorgeous red copper with a nose of spice and vanilla. The taste is similar to that of a Yunnan golden tips, though with a slightly bitter backnote and a touch of malt.
Hong bi Luo is harvested in early spring from the Yunnan province of China. Only highest-quality tea leaves with down-covered tips are selected and are carefully rolled into tight spirals that slowly unfurl to make for a beautiful visual spectacle and release more flavor during steeping. Smooth and robust with hints of chocolate and sugarcane, this tea produces a beautiful golden color tea liquor when brewed. Its smooth, nicely full-bodied liquor liberates a complex fruity aroma, reminding of a still warm plum tart at first, and then of the orange, the whole highly-seasoned with a tinge of mocha. |
