2. About Dark Tea Bricks
Dark Tea is an unique type of tea made by post fermentation with a more than 600 years history. In China, it is usually called Border-Sale Tea which was originally exported to other provinces, especially to West-North area of China. It was also one of the first teas to travel the ancient trading routes of the Tea Road and the Silk Road into eastern Russia. In order to ease the carriage of tea during transportation, tea leaves were compressed into brick form.
Due to the high value of tea in many parts of Asia, dark tea bricks were used as a form of currency throughout China, Tibet, Mongolia, and Central Asia. This is quite similar to the use of salt bricks as currency in parts of Africa. Dark tea bricks were in fact the preferred form of currency over metallic coins for the nomads of Mongolia and Siberia. Until World War II, dark tea bricks were still used as a form of edible currency in Siberia.

Born in Baoping Village, Zigui County (in current Hubei Province) in the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-8 AD), she was sent by Emperor Yuan to marry the Ruler of the Hun Kingdom in Northwest China in order to establish friendly relations with the Han Dynasty through marriage.
In the most prevalent version of the "Four Beauties" legend, it is said that Wang Zhaojun left her hometown on horseback on a bright autumn morning and began a journey northward. Along the way, the horse neighed, making Zhaojun extremely sad and unable to control her emotions. As she sat on the saddle, she began to play sorrowful melodies on a stringed instrument. A flock of geese flying southward heard the music, saw the beautiful young woman riding the horse, immediately captivated by her astonishing beauty so much that forgot to flap their wings, and fell to the ground. From then on, Zhaojun acquired the nickname "charm birds from the trees"
Today, the name of Zhaojun not only symbolizes physical beauty, but also a spirit of goodwill to bridge different cultures, even at the expense of one's own interests.
